In
1992 I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Human
Biological Sciences.
I then went on to study acupuncture at the Northern
College of Acupuncture, based in York. This is one of the most prestigious
acupuncture colleges within the UK and is very involved with current
research into acupuncture.
I studied there for four years and was awarded
the Postgraduate Diploma in Acupuncture. I regularly attend postgraduate
seminars and I keep in touch with all current movements within the
profession.

I
used to have a busy private practice in Leeds and I worked in a
pain clinic within one of the main Leeds hospitals. There I gained
valuable experience in the management and treatment of chronic pain.
I moved down to Gloucestershire in June 2000 where I have now decided
to settle.
I went to China in October 2004 to work in the
acupuncture department at Guluo hospital, Nanjing. I also studied
Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at the Nanjing University of Traditional
Chinese Medicine.
I often combine acupuncture with massage, cupping,
and moxibustion. I am a fully registered member of the British
Acupuncture Council, the governing body for professional acupuncturists.
